Cocker Rescue

This morning I went to help out with the Cocker Rescue where we got Bailey. They were doing adoptions at Petsmart in Bellaire. I came home with a surprise...Jolee is going to stay with us for a week. Next Saturday the rescue group will be at the Petsmart in Katy doing adoptions, so I'll be taking her back. I'm sure she will get adopted quickly. She's very well behaved and such a cutie.

We adopted her on December 6th from the Cocker Spaniel Rescue of East Texas at the Petsmart in Bellaire. She was about 6 months old then. She had been brought in with mange on her ears, but is fine now. We all fell in love with her right away.

Dave's brother and his family came to Texas for a visit and everyone made pizzas for dinner on New Year's Day.

Tomorrow is Drew's last baseball game of the season. Time has really flown. We really aren't ready for the season to end. He has really learned a lot and his game has improved so much.

Last night was Open House at the kids' school. Their teachers really bragged on them. I was able to spend most of the morning in Katelyn's class (got to teach some math and social studies and gave a dictation test). I haven't been in her class much this year, but it was good to be there yesterday. Both of the kids have such wonderful teachers - we are truly blessed!

Drew had Field Day at school! Katelyn (and Dave) won First Place for speed in the AWANA Grand Prix! Dave and the kids set up the tent in the backyard and the kids spent the night out there.
